London 2012 ?

There's a lot of buzz going on amongst a lot of people about how Lanni and I should be on the team for London 2012. Here's a few links:
1.
Brantford Expositor, "DuChene's 2012 Olympic dream up to COC."
2. Letsrun. "Canadian Women in Rotterdam."
3. My Next Race."
Should the COC make an exception for DuChene and Marchant?"
And here's Athletics Canada's 2012 Olympic Games Internal Nominations Procedures .
I don't really have a lot to say about it all, yet. Why there is no "Rising Star" for the marathon is something I don't understand, amongst other things. But I do know that I won't let it consume me; that, I learned from Nicole Stevenson. If God wants me in London, it will happen. If not, He has something else planned!
Stay tuned!

Hey, take a look at the all-time Canadian Women's Marathon times.

Looks like Lanni and I will capture spots 9 and 10, respectively (Lanni 2:31:51 and Krista 2:32:05)! Pretty cool.

All of this can be very exciting, yet very "it's all about me". I'm so glad God gives us opportunities in our life to be humbled, to be placed lower. The scripture below has been so meaningful to me lately. Despite what does or does not happen in my life, I always want to be in a place where it's all about Him, not me; I so look forward to His plan, giving back, and helping others.

Philippians 2:3-4

New International Version (NIV)

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
