A Few Things About Me

A few interesting things you may not know about me:
1) I played hockey for the U of Guelph and was an OUA All Star in the 97/98 season.
2) I've been either pregnant or breastfeeding for the last 6 years (minus 8 mos).
3) I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion and focus in pediatric nutrition.
4) I married my best friend, almost 10 years ago, whom I met through Athletes in Action at the U of Guelph (he played volleyball). His parents went to highschool with my mom!
5) I have 4 brothers, 1 sister, 4 brothers-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law, 2 parents-in-law, 2 nieces, 10 nephews, 2 sons, 1 daughter and 1 dog.
6) Both of my parents died of cancer, my dad in 2005 and my mom in 2007.
7) I am a Christian and attend Brant Community Church.
8) I am sponsored by Chariot, Saucony, and Eload.
9) If I could do someone's exercise in exchange for cleaning, I would!
10) Because of my high energy, as a child my mom used to lock me out of the house and not let me back in until I had run a certain number of laps around the house. I do the same with my 5 year old today!
11) I love coffee, salmon, peas, spinach, skim milk, almonds, and whole wheat chocolate chip pancakes with natural peanut butter and syrup (but not all at the same time). My favourite meal is breakfast.
12) I ran my first marathon in 2002 in 3:28 and my seventh marathon in 2010 in 2:39.
13) I grew up on a beef farm and you can often find me in my pj's at 8 pm.
14) My favourite quote is Eric Liddell's, "I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure".
